Terry H also caught a monster shark there too, i just wonder how he gets the bait out using that massive reel and short stubby rod. Does anyone know?

Kayak to get the baits out into the action is the primary method i believe.

Pinkenba mate. Go towards where the Qantas Hangers are.... follow the road then you get to the brisbane city council treatment facility. Turn right and 'Bob's ur uncle".

Its a QLD Grouper not a cod and yeah as mentioned its at Pinkenba in the Brisbane River Mouth.

Taib: As serhguht said baits are kayaked into place. There are some very detailed reports of the process with pictures in the Moreton Island And Bays fishing reports featuring a lot of sharks as well if you are interested.

Also It wasnt just one shark but 2

FOr two years running Terry took out the largest shark category of the Brisbane River Classic.

First off with a 2.8m monster.

Seconfly with a 2.9m monster.

The third year, we hooked one of similar length but ultimately lost it:(

Anyone wanting to fish the area: good luck.

It's not the easiest spots to fish as there are plenty of snags, rocks, slabs of concrete, rock walls, random posts and other nonsense to get your line caught on. This is how we lost the fish. I might put up a small snippet of video from the fight if anyone is interested...

Hurts a bit seeing it though because you can see the moment where my line went from loaded to cut.
