queensland Carp have been on the chew

Gday guys,

Decided to post a report, first for a while,

Went down to my local creek to go for a fish and i thought it wouldn't be brilliant because of the rain but boy was i wrong

Saw plenty of nice carp mouthing on the surface before 4 or 5 carp were swimming and eating right in front of me and didn't take long to get em eating bread off the top without thinking if there was a hook in it.

Flicked out my floating bread to get taken by the biggest of the lost,

wound up the slack to only feel a big fish rapped around something tried for a while but didn't push the limit of my 9pd line. left it for a while before i tried again with a tighter drag and eventually pulled up a 52cm carp. The bite dropped off after that and i also had another pic of a another 50+cm carp i caught with a mate from w.a a few weeks ago but this one was a couple of kilos bigger.

CARP?? No No No,, definately NOT for the plate. Just chuck em as high on the bank as you can and burn them if possible..I believe their eggs lay dormant on the bank for quite some time..

Rayke had a chew on one a while ago, i can't remember if he struggled through it or found it alright lol

go 1lb on the smallest real and lightest rod you can find, that would be fun.

They go quite hard I know as I used to cath them out west and they go harder than a yellow belly.
