Hey mark what boat is the electric motor going on and is it 12 volt or 24 volt?

I'm running 2x 6volt deep cycle on mine which lets me run around all day on my 14foot quinni. There are so many batteries from AGM style batteries to your standard flooded deep cycle batteries but I wouldn't run anything smaller then about 120 amp hour.

cheers dassa

its going into my canoe and i wouldn't be running around on it all day probably 2 to 3 hours running a day, i can allways fall back onto paddle power when it goes flat thanks dassa

Being in the canoe you want to keep the weight down the probley somthing about 40amp hr would be plenty but you will need and AGM style battery.I'll send you a pm so the name of a guy to get them from

cheers dassa

Oh nice-a motorised sailfish eskie

I got a 90amp hr and havnt flatend the battery yet on a sesion.but I use #3 speed and troll to the spots.its a 36lb thrust I got but.I reckon that little graph indicator(run time on what speed) the minns have got on top of the head unit is pritty much on the money.

i just run my electric a 12 volt 54 lbs watersnake on a N70ZZ ,650 CCA, 75 AH i think

or i use a marine battery 760 CCA ,105 AH ,there pretty much both just a standard 4x4 small truck style battery.

i did want a deep cycle as i use them to run the fridge too ,but at the time there was no blemished ones .so i took what i could get .

i reckon i get a good 5 hrs flat out no problems, off either of them battery's
