Jacobs Well Zero, Coomera Two

Scope and i decided to see what jacobs well was all about since there have been some good reports of late. We launched just before sunrise, deliverance like music playing in the background  . The water was like glass as we started fishing. It all looked fishy enough, but there was hardly any activity around and it was not long before confidence began to fade. Within the hour i was muttering about about a quick run to the coomera. then decided against it, then an hour later, i said sack this for a joke, a few faint swirls behind some poppers was not good enough and the coomera was a better option.

we go to pull the boat out and some inbred individual decided that the hook on my boat winch was too good for city folk like me, so the hillbilly, banjo music loving clown took it. I muttered a few other words and scope and i made a plan to get round it.

20 minutes later we launch at the coomera, there was activity everywhere, but for the life of me i could not hook a fish. we had a few hits and misses, scope droped a large fish. then i got a bream that self released before the all important netting. soon after scope got a trev.

i was facing the prospect of not only getting my first donut in my boat  , but also being outfished by my decky for the first time  . I started fishing like a man possessed. Possessed enough to have every type of fish in the coomera follow his lure to the boat with out hitting.

As we approached a flat I mentioned that there should be some flathead around and scope promptly showed me how correct i was.

A nice flathead landed and a possible PB. All of jono's fish were on Damiki Mu -SP, so at least Damiki's won the day. A good effort from scope who did not leave the mu-sp once. dedication payed off. I only realised when i got home that there was a smudge on the camera lense so the pics are not that great.

Maybe friday session will offer a better day for me.

yeah bad luck mate scum area... i know i shit myself everytime i launch in these areas... even though i live local to them, as for the fishing there i have had bad luck most of the time but persistance has shown me there is good fish in these areas. Not to say I don't fish the Coomera because i have fished that river and Nerang more than Main Channel... Don't let some sword smoker put you off fishing there that's all i can say.

We aren't all like that but you probably won't be able to silence the

Delevirence music mate most houses have it pumping..........

`Mate, ya win some and ya lose some.

I've never heard of anyone pinching the hook of a boat winch before, although someone once stole my B&M seatcover I had drying on the line... Damn them and their banjos

Anyway mate, good to see some fish, especially the trevs

Keep em coming
