there is no photo but parrot are just a nickname for a tuskfish which is the correct species name

lol how is it that so many people keep asking this, no offence ment russian its just this happens alot . you need to resize the photo, there are many programs to do it the one you will probably already have is paint. just simply make the pic small and try again

I use a program called Pixresizer http://download.cnet.com/PIXresizer/3000-12511_4-10607499.html , great little program, do one file or a whole heap at one time.

it was my understanding that a parrot had the beak like teeth(one piece top and bottom) and the tusk fish had the usk like teeth. hopefully picture workd below for example. tuskie on left king parrot on right.

thanks, yeah that wat i thought, all i know is they are both very tasty. i got 4 large hump headed parrots diving on the barrier reef a fortnight ago. first humpheaded for me.

Looks to be a Bluebar Parrotfish on the right mate. That's what we call them back in NSW.

simple way to tell the difference...

tuskfish have individual teeth

parrotfish have a beak

yeah my favourite spot on earth! called cape upstart it is situated just south of homehill and north of bowen.my uncle bought a big block for like 90 bucks in the 70's. i grew up in that area all the locals built huts along the beautful sandy rocky reefy bays decades ago for next to nothin. now they are more like houses and worth hundreds of thousands. i have grown up there every holidays since a kid. hope to go up again soon the spanish will be everywhere soon. not far from GBreef either!!!!

yeah blue barred parrot i think they are called we locally called em king parrot,north qld we make up all sorts of names lol we don't like books haha.

nah one on left is a tuskie the other is a parrot. caught and speared many of both and one definately has teeth ant the other a beak.
