queensland Wivenhoe thurs

Decided to head up to Wivenhoe on thurs morning with the neighbour, picked up a few good tips from Stu who I seen wed night while he was picking up his permit. He said they had been getting a few off the points, with a few over 50cm. Thanks for the tip Stu had a very nice session getting several from the points, but I couldnt find those 50cm ones, our biggest was 45cm. We trolled around looking for schooled bass and found 4 schools, 3 of which were bass and one big forkies. When we found a school we would start jigging,taking bass on icejigs,slugs,mask vibes and jackals, could not get any on blades though. On the troll most bass were on berkley frenzies in 18 to 22ft of water. Bruce won the prize for the biggest forkie caught on a slug and I won the prize for most bass. Nearly 30 bass and about 6 forkies caught,on a beautiful autumn morning,I think its the first trip where I wasnt chased off the water by the wind in ages. As arnie said I'LL be back :woohoo:

Nice one Dino, sounds like an awesome session. Unfortunetly i cant head out there this weekend anymore, but I definetly plan on heading there asap. Just wondering what kinda tinny you took out there?
