Had the day off so took the wife to "old faithful" for a spot of fishing while she read magazines. Was just going to target bream but after getting heaps of poddy mullet and silver biddies after 3 throws of the castnet that idea went out the window.

We motored up to the spot not far from the boat ramp where I caught my first jack and sent down 2 livies and sat back to chat with the missus about what Sandra Bulluck was up to or Justin bloody Beiber or whatever his name is when line started peeling off the reel. Thinking it was too good to be another jack, I thought it was another jack. I let it take run after run as it was a light bream set up. After about 5 minutes up she came. A PB Trev and someone to take a pic of me with it.

Even though she's not into fishing the missus was high fiving and couldnt believe the size. Some happy snaps and back it went for another day. We stayed there for about 2 more hours picking up under sized bream and some near misses on the bigger stuff. A nice way to spend a couple of hours apart from hearing about all the Hollywood gossip I couldn't give a cr*p about but at least SWMBO was happy .

Heard some good things about the Pine and South Pine of late, due to more water flow etc.

Might be the extra water coming over dam etc. and extra flow through out system....
