Crabbin in Coochin Creek

G'day all,

Weekend at last! The family wants to go to Coochin Creek and do a bit of camping. As this is our first time at Coochin Creek, just want to find out where's a good place to throw the crab pot and catch some muddies?

Get there quick - that place will be full in the morning. Always has big crowds on long weekends and also attracts the kids from Caboolture - somewhere for them to have a party ..... I've always found towards the mouth is better for crabs. Also be careful when boating in Coochin - the place is deadly in spots with shallow rocky shoals and sandbanks and minimal/no channel markers. Hope I haven't put ya off cause it's a beautiful place with some awesome fishing opportunities.
