First fish from Kayak

Well I have now finally found out how hard to is to land a fish in a yak. Being my 2nd outing I didn't really know what it was like. From all the reports you read it looks quite easy, well after little timmy tailor nearly hooked my left nut with a flying treble, and then nearly falling out trying to get him in the ice bag :S, I found out just how much i have to learn. But I am definetly looking forward to much more fish blood gracing the yak.

Sorry i didn't get any action shots, but like a said I was having to much fun trying to stay in the yak. All up I landed 5 tailor, keeping the one in the photo which went 45cm. There not my favourite fish to eat, but one every now and then is okay. :cheer:

haha, my first was a just legal bream that I dropped spikey side down on my nutz.

then you have all sorts of things to look forward to, like capsizes, jetskis, sharks :ohmy:

On the bright side, if Kreel can do it, anyone can.

That might work out okay. Have a wedding in the arvo, so it depends on timings. . I will keep an eye out in the forums.

Lip grippers and a landing net a great investment I have found.

Congrats on the first yak fish. I rely on the complicated fishing science called blind luck, which works out well for me. Pussca relies on his experience and studies conditions, tides, currents, moon phases and is still waiting to catch a fish big enough to take home in the last 4 or 5 times out with me. :ohmy: :laugh:
