First of all Happy Mother's Day for all yall mothers out there!

Haven't fished for about 3 weeks i had a real bad craving for a flick and during the 3 weeks i made a decision that ill be using nothing but lures from then on... ive bought new bag, rod and a set of lures to complete the new transformation.

With a group of friends incl. Mollowsexual,Nufinspecial and Phuc, we set out to breaky creek for a late night flick, we had a awesome time hanging out. It started with a few taps/ misses and then after workin the river bank i foul caught ( top of the head ) a 38cm lizard :D didnt put up much of a fight though i was overwhelmed since it was my very first fish on a hard body  after that i was pumped and ready to get back into it. Not long after, i was reelin my hard body in feeling the rocks as the lure taps into it and then as the lure was surfacing Booom! splash! my rod bends! reel screeches for a second ( :( wish i didn't set my drag on so tight ) i yanked it up and it was splashing all over the surface too overexcited to identify what it was all i wanted to do was land this thing... swiftly lugging the fella over on land i realized that i caught a bream! it was 31 cms and was quite fat. It was my second fish on a hard body :) . i loved the action and anticipation ... and i am now 100% converted to lures

sorry about the pictures it was on a friends i phone

Nice work mate, great fish and congrats on these being the first caught on hardbodied lures.

Recently made the switch myself, that's why I brought my T-curve and CI4, predominatlyey for flicking hardbodies.

Keep the fish coming mate, congrats again

ca chien with nuoc mam for sure ahah

next target is a Jack! been wanting one for a looong time

any tips where i can find one in the brissy river? im land based and prefer night fishin

The warmer months are best season to chase jacks. Casting crank/jerkbaits towards targets such as rock walls, bridge pylons and other types of nasty snags will generally hold jacks.

Gear wise id recommend you to fish heavy. Them nasty red fish will own you before you even knew you were hooked up. I fish casting gear with 10-20lb rod with 20lb mainline and run between 30-40lb leader.

Hope that helps
