queensland friday flathead

took a mate fishing on friday, it was his first time fishing in Australia and has been bugging me to take him out somewhere.

we started pretty early and i missed two fish on a popper in the first 5 minutes. hooks got straightened on both occasions.

my mate brooke was first on with a flatty, then it went quietish for him and i started to catch a few.

i got a nice flatty at 58cm and a couple bream and a few more flatties. then brooke got onto some fish just before we left.

Only spent a few hours out as i had a bit of work to get back to. final tally was total of 11 fish, biggest flatty was 58cm with most flathead around 45cm and a couple bream mainly small ones around 27-29 cm. it was a nice relaxing way to spend a friday morning
