Hey All,

HAd a team planning day down the Goldy yesterday with an overnight stay. So headed down early yesterday afternoon with a work mate who was keen to try for some GT popping :) So I decided the broadwater as the place to go for some GT's and bream to go for on topwater.

Got to the water and casting at 6am yesterday. Both of us had bubbly pop 35's out there. Nothing to speak of for the first 20minutes as we covered ground. We got to the swimming enclosed area and thats where the fun began.

First fish up was a nice little breambo :) Love getting fish on topwater. LUM__033_AFO.jpg

Endless hits, missed hookups and 3 lost lures was the story for the next 2 or so hours. Massive hits and takes, blistering runs, but unfortunately nothing landed until I took out my Atomic k9 walker and slowly walked it along the floating boom.

I saw it come up from underneath and just lazily grab it off the surface and try to swim away. I struck firmly and on..... to my new PB bream of 37.5cm. Happy??? like you wouldn't believe   LUM__047_AFO.jpg

for the rest of the morning I only caught 1 more bream, but no pics taken. HAd to get to my conference at 9 so left the fish biting.

Conference and then a nice boozy night, I woke at 530am and left my hotel for the same waters.

First cast on a Bubble Pop 25... LUM__051_AFO.jpg

Another lost lure, multiple missed hook ups, hits and swipes, a security guard came down and told me that I wasn't allowed to fish there. He was quite nice about it. I asked him if there were signs and he said no not yet as they were still completing the park... not trying to be a c-bomb but I then asked him how come they had signs for people to not step on the gardens, but not for people to fish there???

Anyway slowly made my way left and spotted a bloke luring off his boat near where I was. A "G'day" and a few niceties exchanged, this top bloke offers me a ride on his boat so I can fish the deeper side of the swimpool thing. As I'm about to climb on his boat I see a AFO sticker :cheer: "hey man... you're on AFO??...I'm Henry..Do$tylz". Daniel introduced himself and we got to fishing.

Long story short, I got nothing... Daniel was onto a couple of flatties and a couple of bream on a gulp 2". He did get to catch a great bream... heres some pics. LUM__054_AFO.jpg
