finally bit the bullit and had a go on saturday at low tide at point hallaron

took out some stinky bait and james mac finaly talked me into putting some soft plastics in the bag.just in case

happy just standing there fishing for bream or whatever wants to take the bait and watch the world go by

watch two blokes walking along throwing plastics and bugger me. the old bloke brings in three nice flatheads in about ten minutes.OK time to change so i walk back to dry land and change to plastic

stood there and watched how it goes.time to have a crack.

14 casts later im on. :woohoo: this is great.first flathead 38cm.fish and chips for dinner.

i thought i'll stay a little while longer and no more than 15 minutes later im on again.

this time a 51cm dusky.its been so long since i caught a flatty i forgot how go they fight.

Good one mate I grew up down there didn't fish much in them days but yes its a good spot as is up Epprepah Creak

hey was the first one a dusky? cas they have a min 40cm

i had my little orange book with me

always check the book as i get agro when i see other people keep undersize fish

i was down at raby bay canels the other weekend and watched this bloke keep a under size bream

tried ringing fisheries but they dont work weekends

i was told to ring back on monday and make a complaint

awesome, they taste great

i dont understand people who take undersized bream, for a start they are filled with bones plus on top of that theres the part about preserving our fish stocks

Good work with the plastics Mac. I don't use them as much as I should on account of my laziness :laugh: Can still remember my first flatty on them. I was great.

Good on you for reporting the fishos taking little buggers. More of us need to be reporting this type of stuff, it really makes a difference.
