Had a latish start and then sat pontificating whether I would venture out in the slight drizzle and finally left ramp around 6.45.

I went straight to my redclaw pots and had a bit of trouble pulling the first one. I thought it had picked up a log but instead this is what I pulled in.

37 redclaw in first pot. :woohoo: :woohoo:

Did the rest with similar results.

Then went down near the boundary and started bait fishing.

Nice way to start off the shrimp got banged on the way down. Tad over 40

A bit smaller but still nice fat fish and it had a tag in it.

Slightly bigger.

This time the bait actually got to the bottom and resulted in this tandanus.

This one has a nasty looking sore on its gill plate.

One with fin rot.

Then big mimma. I like it when the brag mat is too small. :blush:

Packed it in around 11.30 for a total of 34 bass and one tandanus.

Then did the redclaw pots again on the way home. Best pot had 47 redclaw in it.

One hundred litres of redclaw.

Eug is going to have sore hands tomorrow. :silly:

Forgot to mention there are still permits available for NPD just go to the PRFMA website and pay ya money. Think next night for issueing is 6.30 pm on Wed 7/7/10. You can also just rock up on the night and do it all at once.

wow awesome red-claw catch.

Nice fat Bass too, pity about the fin rot, I wonder why they are getting the rot and the sores.

Might be worth reporting to the Fisheries.

Got my certificate in the mail today.

Fish was tagged by M Dohnt on 10/4/10 8k upstream.

380 tl 360fl.

I measured 382 tl and 360fl.

Starting to get a bit of a collection total of 9 tagged fish in 5 years,

cant wait to get my hands on good yak or a small boat so i can start fishing NP dam, what kind of rigs are you guys that fish the north pine using?

was considering buying two yaks (1 for me 1 for the mrs whos just as keen on fishing as me) and fitting them out or buying a punt and putting decks, sounder and a largish or two smaller leccys on them
