did anybody see the marine village in Canada on SBS One tonight (Housemovers) They build 3 story houses in a massive factory on a pontoon, when finished they tow them by Tug to the Marina and park them in your spot next to your boat. Check out the site

Brings a whole new meaning to house boat. They must have some serious plumbing underneath, holding tanks and such.

Not having to buy a block of land would offset a lot of berthing fees.

Yeah plumbing and details of pontoon design would be very interesting.
