Manly harbour

Fished Manly harbour yesterday and today, chassing bream and to practise skip casting against the moorings and boats without chipping to much gellcoat  Reckon I whent pretty good  . Met up with rob316 and he showed me some of his spots within the harbour and good hb colours to try out. Unfortunatly the hb's didn't work for me all weekend :( so I stuck with the softies alternating with 3 inch minnows and 2 inch shrimps.

Yesterday morning got off to a good start landing a 29cm fork length bream on a 40mm bubble pop. I then got a 34.5cm squire on the string, 2lb main and 4lb leader B) followed by a couple more bream ranging between 25 and 30cm to the fork. Last fish boated was a flounder.

Today I had the live well on the back, with the intention to do a mock event, 3 bream and upgrade as time goes on. Anyway it was a slow day with only two legals caught 1 at 26cm fork and the other at 28.5 fork. Plenty of small bream, squire, trevally and the ever frequent pike.

Next trip there will have to be when there is a high tide at 8am ish. Not a fan of a morning low tide when fishing canals/ mariners.

Den didn't need any of my suggestions - he was doing well with his own ideas - but maybe he needed me to close my trap - as every time he hooked up and I was talking , he would lose a fish !!!...some pike , small bream and cod for my efforts , only a short fishing time frame is my excuse...
