Hey guys, iv got a 4m tinnie sounder gps and am keen to fish mud island for snapper tomorrow night.. leaving from pinken bar boat ramp..

dont know if anyone has mentioned but the pinkenba ramp is closed for repairs mate

theres one up the road from pinkenba, failing that fishos or colmslie.. 4m rig should fit under boat passage unless u have a huge bimini?

cheers boys i might leave from the breakfast creek ramp, little bit further of a push but chance of a jew on the way back under the bridge maybe....

still would be keen to take some one out or meet someone out there that really knows how to nail snapper on sp's

good luck to you, brekky ck is not a bad ramp, gets a bit muddy and slimy but id prefer it to boggy ck ramp which is full of stonefish

pulled the pin on Mud island and towed the boat up with the maloo to caloundra at 4am and went out the bar just on first light, jigged some lives then out to 5 mile.

water was perfect couldnt have been any better, first live bait that went off was a nice litte 55cm red emperor, then wifey hooked two cod. Things went quite so we moved to the blinker where we got 2 sweetlip over the side and and spotty mackerel 65cm.

All fish were released but kept the spotty for the BBQ last night with a few cold beers...
