surface action on NPD?

so there i was sitting on the banks of NPD at the park on the way to daboror near dark, i didnt have my rods (stupid) wish i did cas there was a tone on surface action. stuff was getting slurped off the surface every second.

my first thought was that they were just gar but then some of the splashes were pretty big and i didnt think gar would be possible of that?

can anyone tell me what these fish would be? i thought it would have been the wrong time of year for bass to be schooling this side of the dam?

might have to take the fly rod down with a small dry fly see what happens

perhaps Boney Bream may have been the culprits.

have never had much luck at NPD on the surface.

on a side note went fishing with devon a couple of days ago and he told me the story of you throwing away the anchor

and the lesson learnt still has me checking anchor attachments to this day!
