queensland Logan River Jewfish

On the pontoon at the Logan River Parklands today my daughter caught a 63cm Jewfish with a cooked asian tiger prawn on my old trusty $30 combo from Amart.

Cheap bait, cheap rod, awesome fish!

No photos though, phone died Still she was well pleased. I would have taken it home for dinner, but she caught it, so she got to decide that it went back in the water.

Good call on her part to return it to the water though - new legal size is 75cm.

Good one mate,Better off not keeping that one mate, they taste a bit funny that small, and they're under sized. Nice catch though.

Crikey thanks for the size tip, I thought the min was 60cm!

I always suspected my children were smarter than me....D'OH!!
