Rod rebuild

Recommended Posts

My legendary Berkeley DropShot has spat the dummy.

One of the tiny line guides has broken. The main metal bit that holds the eye has broken (rusted through?) How do I go about replacing it? Where do I buy the bit, where do I get the thread to put it on (or is that too old skool) What do I then put over it to get it all shiney and dandy again. Or is it possible that all of the rod guides will soon need replacing, especially the tiny ones. Do I refurb, (I'm good with my hands, ladies ;) ) or do I bite the bullet and get a new rod. The rod is still immaculate in all other ways (And my favourite. B) ) Except for a bit of a Gecko Chew on the cork butt, but that's character

Kev if its just a guide replacement sort of thing the tackle warehouse should be able to help you out. I took my dad's browning in, (same thing happened - the guide closest to the reel seat/butt rusted out) they told me it would be less than 20bucks and they'll call when its ready.
