queensland Big Lungy gets away

Hey guys

A mate and i went out to mt crosby area today to flick some lures around for anything really. About 20mins into fishin i was onto something with some serious power. Couldn't only just move it with the light gear (6lb). After a couple minutes it rolled on the surface revealing a big lungfish easily going 1m plus. I than told Richard to get the camera out and try get some of the fight on film. Got a minute or so until it spat the hook. minutes later realising why it got off, it bent the jighead :laugh: really couldn't do anything to bring him in, except try and wear it out.

Nice shoot, pity you didn't really land it, but it's an endangered fish anyway.

Keep going mate the vids are good but the fish didn't show at this time.

thanks guys glad ur liking the vids, ive also just recently finished making my homemade camera mount for the kayak, so should have some videos coming from that in the near future. Iv always seen them roll on the surface every now and again while yakking around the area, but never thought id hook one :laugh:
