I have one of these. Had it for about 2 years, used regularly with 3lb braid for soft plastics and had no trouble with it. Nice smooth drag out of the box. Good value for money. Can't add anything more.

just got a 3000cy from ebay for $56. the bloke said it was in good condition. in fact, imo, perfect condition. smooth drag, all the goodies; air bail, 2 ball, +2cribb, digigear2. loaded with 8 pound finns. im stoked. cant believe how smooth this reel is. havnt had a chance to use it yet.

btw; digigear2 differs than digigear in that , the gears are machined slightly differently, which gives it a better meshing of gears.

Did you get that off ebay.com or ebay.com.au??

The price doesnt seem to bad on motackle.com.au.

I think i will be purchasing one in the 2500 series or possibly the shimano sedona 2500.
