Where to take the kids fishing?

Okay, I promised to take my girls (3,5,7) fishing over rhe holidays and want to try somewhere different, previously been around the bay foreshore areas.

As it will most likely be just me with the three of them, I'm thinking somewhere with a sandy beach, calm conditions, no drop or ledge into the water.

I've come up with either Tallebudgera or Currumbin creeks, but not really knowing the areas, has anyone got experience in that neck of the woods and can suggest which is better. (oh, it would be nice if they caught something too....lol)

it's not where you are thinking, but golden beach up at caloundra fits your bill. obviously can't guarantee fish, but a good chance, almost no waves, etc

both very good creeks, currumbin towards the mouth using live yabbies, frozen prawns peeled should get you amoungst whiting and bream

Hey mate, talle's pretty good. I take my 2 n 1/2 year old daughter there.

Around the mouth is ok, but if you make a right turn at talle creek drive at the lights, follow the road down to the 2nd bridge. there is nice little spot there.

shallow shore line, no snags.
