Old report I'm afraid but here is afew GT's I got stuck into about a month ago off the headlands.. 50-70+ - absolute bruisers in the surf.. Mainly high speed spinning metals across the surface & sub surface although lost acouple on 135 Roosters which would have been mad to see if it wasn't pitch black haha..

Came from the Southern Goldy - gear is an 8-10kg, 10ft Okuma X Factor - 20lb braid, 60lb leader.

Nice mate, after doing some similar fishing to this last week and hooking a couple of GTs. I can understand how much of a thrill it is to get these fish in the surf. Must be hard landing them?

Yeah mate it's really hard landing them and definately not always safe.. Had to admit defeat on afew cause in the dark it's too touch and go to make your way too close to the water at risk of not being able to see the swell coming or going a$$ over tit on a mossy rock and powersliding down the platform into the drink haha
