queensland Anglers paradise 10/7

Hit up anglers paradise this morning with dan25. It was a very fast run out tided which made for a steady peddle up to the canals. It was very slow going on the fishing front too. We casted many different sp's for not a great deal of success. We both had several missed strikes before I landed my first bream, only a little tike at 18ish cm. We made our way up through runaway bay canals where I finally landed the one and only legal bream at 27cm to the fork on an atomic hardz. Also a couple of little bream on the 2lb gear.

Back at the ramp we had a bit of a flick. I handed Dan my lb setup for a go and on his first cast he picked up a flatty, but unfortunatly the shrimp was spat out

Nice one dennis and dan! A 27 forker is pretty quality for a slow day

nice live well setup there Keen as. Man 21b is a real finesse setup. It would give you some real heart in the mouth moments. Got to get me a Kayak so I can join the club. good one guys.

C'mon walrus come to the dark side :evil: Yeah the 2lb is good fun and suprissingly strong. I ues a 4lb leader but I have recently got some 3lb to try next time

You guys are braver than me. I have lived near this creek most of my life. No way I would go in it for a swim or Kayak, sharks love this creek. Very brave indeed fellas.

was great fun even though the lack of fish and look forward to going again. I saved my self from a doughnut about 5mins from going home, landed a nice little flatty about 30cm passed that bridge :laugh: And yes, i think i might have to start saving for a hobie

well even though it was a slow day it beats any day working right.

some pretty kayaks you have there too

and you 2lb set up sounds like some real fun on bream

it would be some real fun on a big Bumper bream right :laugh:

I hope the battery on your livewell will last for the 6 odd hours of an ABT event Den. How about we touchup the bream at Manly next weekend?

I've had two bream in there for 5 hours (three for the event) and I turn the pump on and off every hour or so to freshen the water and they servived well and where fiesty on the release. Deffinetly keen on manly gotta get a bruser from there.
