Seagate 4500h or Catalina 4500h?

I have looked at both myself. the seagate is a couple of hundred dollars cheaper. I would`nt worry that it has less bearings, less things to go wrong. I think ray & annes sell the seagate for around $350, where as the catalina is about $500+. both quality products. depends on your budget. your other option is the saltist 4500 for $300, not high speed though. either way, you wont be disappointed. read all the specs, see which suits you better. which ever one you get, let us know what you think..

I just brought a Saltist 4500H, seems really solid too. I got mine for heavy jetty, beach and rock work on jew, sharks, ets.

I'll let you know when I have used it enough to give you a real 'review

jackman60; there is a catalina on ebay.au for $500. if your not interested in ebay, you should be able to haggle a good price from your local tackle shop. never pay full price! if they wont haggle, go somewhere else. or, ask if they will throw in some braid. the g.p. ( gross profit) on these items is pretty high.
