Hey all,

I caught my first fish on a lure last night! It was a 39cm yellow tail pike! I was using a 100mm bloodworm squidgee wriggler.

I was and still am so stoked! I've never seen a pike get so big either. This fish was released un harmed

Well done mate, it can get addictive, believe me.

Pike are a fairly common species, although yours was above the usual i'd say. If ya want a bit more practice, wello point on a making tide is full of bream, pike and squire willing to hit plastics

Hey Mate.

A Making tide is the rising from a low to a high. As Mr Felix said, there are generally pleanty of pike, bream etc. around wellington point if you ever needed a new spot. Hope you have fun catching them pike. I know I had fun on my first, alas, it was not on plastic, it was on another chunk of pike Great fish to catch!
