circuit breakers

hi all,

looking for a circuit breaker for my electric bow mount, been recommended 50 amp. had a look on BLA and they want $144. just wondering if there were cheaper alternatives and where to get them?

others have recommended a fuse over a breaker as they react faster. is the logic behind this sound?

edit: whitworths have a 50amp for $30, that's a big price difference. is it a case of you get what you pay for?

Mate, I'd go the fuse being a tight wad! The circuit breaker gives instant reset, but you'd carry extra fuses right? With yer bow mount I reckon you are trying to protect from short circuits (live to negative) or motor overload (prop tangled in something).

JMTCW! Fuse inline as close to the battery as practicable.
