Ye i did it, for my school. It was definitely a mental and physically challenge right from the start. We finished it just after 25 hours. We were aiming for 22-23hours at about 11pm Saturday, as we were making good ground. But my team started to really feel pain and sick so that slowed us down, my stamina was still high at this point and definitely could of made that time. But hats off to everyone that did it, and round of a applause for my teacher that was in alot of pain and dug deep. Our Cav 1 made it in 19hours and 49 minutes so they did a excellent job.

My school i was doing it for was Cavendish road state high school

thanks

He did the 96KM one. He (and his mates) are in grade 10. I am super proud of him, his mates and their teacher. They were the second Cav team to finish, the fastest ever Cav team to finish in their first attempt, the 6th school team to finish, and Mitch was the only one to go blisterless  Their time was just over 24 hours.

Me and the wife were support crew. This is an enormously tough event. I've been reading alot about it today on different forums (for athletes etc). This is the toughest Ultra marathon in Australia.

Well done to you mattuna - you also must have a heap of character and guts.

How about that. His teams teacher was MR Bachelor, he is a machine too. We were in front of your sons team or the way to checkpoint 13, till i think Mitch Blistered up in front of me and he and I were awaiting by the fire for our teams, then your sons team just went in front. Round of applause for Cav5 year 10 for 2nd :)
