Guys,

I am heading up to the Kendall River (north of cairns) in september for a fish in search of barra.

Just wondering if anyone has fished there before?

try talking to bmxdirtjumpa mate, he lives up that way and has just started getting a few barra himself.

I have fished up there a bit. Great spot, would be better if the pro s weren't there. Here s a pic of myself with Eddie Holroyd traditional owner of that country and a big barra I caught for his family.

If it's barra you search for, head up to cooktown..

I live on the Endeavour river 25km out of Cooktown and there are alot of barra in the system. There s a top young bloke named Shane Miller doing fishing tours now and he only charges 100$ for a half day. He is a local and his knowledge of the system is invaluable.

I would love to spend a year or so on the cape... After I do... it may never happen... but if it does... I will tell you all about Kendall River.

i havnt gone yet im chasing the info before we tow the boot 600 km across the dirt to get there, ill report when ive fished it
