Hi All

i went fishing last friday with Al (biggles) but have been slack with the report and i was out today with Khoi (51mple) and thought i would combine the two reports.

Friday saw Al and i fishing at my usual location. I had a few sample lures from Damiki that i needed to give a bash as well as giving my new brand Pontoon 21 products a good going over.

we started at daylight and we used a combnation of Damiki saemi's, 3 inch armor shads, and pontoon 21 crackjack48's.

Long story short was about 10 fish each, i got a trev of +/- 40cm on a crackjack 48, Al got the biggest flathead of 55cm and bream of 33cm on the new damiki lure. A few fish each to the Saemi and armor shad, but the majority of fish were caught on the Crackjack 48 and the greedy guts 55 hardbodies.

here are some pics from the friday

Trip #2

Khoi and i have been planning a trip for a while now and this morning we set off. being a creature of comfort, the location was obvious. We got there at sunrise and started the days fishing. This time my main lure of choice was a crackjack 38mm. in about an hour i was 4 fish up on khoi who was having a bad day with wind knots and dropped fish. In those 4 fish, was a good 58-60cm flathead that luckily did not engulf the lure.

We changed spots and were busy discussing various hardbody retrieves when Khoi MU-Sp was slammed by an awesome bream. It would be easily the biggest i have seen in the coomera. Unfortunaly the owner hooks straightened and the big un got away. Khoi's bad luck continued.

Fishing was slow hook up wise, but we had alot of missed hits and alot of fish followng the lure to the boat. I started changing lures to see how others performed and tried a slow sinking stick/jerkbait called a gagagoon. This lure has great potential. I got a pike on it and then a nice flathead of around 50cm.

Khoi then got in on the action with a bream on the crackjack 38mm and then khoi tried the gagagoon i had tied on. This lure soon won Khoi over with constant hits and follow ins. There was a bust up near the boat and we started working the area with our hardbodies. Next thing Khois rod buckles under as a nice trev slams the gagagoon.

Last fish of the day was a little flathead that took a liking to the gagagoon and that brought todays adventure to an end. I now need to get my minn kota serviced as it statyed making some wierd sounds like metal on metal and i saw that a rubber seal and broken up.

What a long report, thanks for reading guys

Awesome Rob.

I would consider those very successful product tests!

First time a P21 lure has hit the water in Aus?

Angus

The first catch on a gagagoon. i used them two weeks ago in the canals with scope on a pic collecting mission. One of my pro staff got an 88cm jew on the greedy guts on his 3rd cast with 3lb line. he is leading the pontoon big fish race.i cant wait to chase some jacks with the bigge lures

Those Pontoons do look good, any chance we can see/buy some down at the SoOrigin?

The first shipment will arrive in late august early september and will be the 38mm crackjack. Angus, Henry and Jono all have a couple that i am sure you wrestle from them for a gander.

2 very nice productive sessions there mate!! topstuff with great pics of awesome fish.

hey a bit off topic but i remember a lil while ago you had trouble getting a fast pace out of your 25,, out of curiousity what holes do you have the trim pin at? it might just be the pics but it looks trimmed down to far, i have mine set on the 3rd holes from transom for maximum pace. could be the pace problem as mine with it trimmed down on bottom hole loses 8-12kph top speed.

It was a hard day for me.. It went from "If this cast doesn't catch a fish" (epic afc skip casts between jetty/boat hulls) to "If this cast doesn't catch a fish *pause* it'll just be like all the others haha!

Dropped a decent bream and missed so many hits too.. Got to a point where they would just tease me - fish on they're side feeding in the shallows, follows right up to the boat and random fish feeding in plain sight haha.

Ask Rob lol.. didn't matter what i did i couldn't hookup T__T

Slow roll failed, then went to a more aggressive jerk jerk pause retrieve to try entice a reaction strike.. Eventually went to the old faithful roll w/ rod pointed at the water and random twitches and pauses.

pm u now about a fish this week!
