Well after a week of living in brisbane finally got out for a fish yesterday, went to a little creek at nudgee as the tide was rising. Got plenty of small bream and whiting on baits, dropped a solid muddie. Tried throwing some lures around got busted up by something decent then had a couple of sp's get hit hard but no hook up, they came back with big teeth marks in them ?????? Any ideas what they could be, keen to get back there again and concentrate a bit more with the lures. Anyone fish there much and what type of fish can i expect to catch.

How big are we talking?

Tailor and pike will leave plenty of bite marks in your SP for you. On the beach/flat area I'm assuming you would be able to get a few flatties.

There are a lot of Cod and Flatties in that water.

Based on your discription id say that would be a good bet.

Seems to be a few tailor moving in lately, i got a couple of small ones on live prawns yesterday at Scarborough. That might be what left those teeth marks, they usually shred soft plastics!

Thought it might be tailor at first but they usually tear straight through the plastics (especially the gulps i was using) The teeth marks where a bit to big for tailor and they usually bite the tail of then come back to eat the whole thing these bites wherre right near the head of the lure> hmmm interesting just gunna have to try till i land whatever it was!!!
