queensland Alicias First Bass.

Reckon today was the most enjoyable days fishing that I have had for years.

Took Ty and his wife Alicia up to NPD this morning. The weather looked a bit dampish but no wind.

Started off well with hot coffee and delicious fried rice for breakfast on the water whilst trying to spot a koala for Alicia. ( She has only been in Australia for around 18 months) but no luck but plenty of pelicans and a solitary eagle plus assorted ducks and shags.

Pulled the redclaw pots.

Got a good feed.

Then to spot L1 to try for some bass.

I got a couple straight off.

Then Alicia caught her first ever fish. She was a bit dubious at holding it at first.

Bur after a few more she became an old hand.

The action was fast and furious for a while with a few double hookups. Quite a few fish were missed as the bass were attacking the shrimp on the way down.

I think the score was 12 bass boated plus a good feed of redclaw for all. I have 4 litres of tails for a feed at SOO.

Thanks TY and Alicia for a wonderfull day we will have to do it again.

Thank you Ray for an absolute FUN and beautiful day!! A few weeks ago, Alicia was givin me grief for fishin too much, but i think we converted her today! She said it is a day she will never forget and even mentioned about wanting to be your deckie full-time!! :woohoo: :silly: :woohoo:

First thing that she did when we got home was called her sister in the states and her parents in Vietnam and boasted on about her catches today! She said to our family how adorable you are!!

With the light refreshing drizzle, the warming company of Ray and my wife Alicia with Coffee, Fried rice, awesome bass catches and a very nice feed of redclaw... Couldn't ask for a better day!

Alicia also saw these pics and she loves the video!!
