Lures for Tailor

Just wondering if anyone could recommend some effective lures for tailor?

Hard or soft is fine!

At surfers paradise beach front on a weds and fri night there is a craft market, there is a guy who makes and sells lures,i have caught a lot of tailor and bonito on his pink lure.until it got smashed by something and i lost it. This was the bad boy.

looks like the bonito is giving some kind of birth to the lure

tailor aren't very picky, if it's looks relatively fishy they seem to chew on them. slugs, minnows, stickbait plastics...

That's why i had to photograph it, bizare!!

Stating the obvious plastics won't last very long with tailor.

mark berg used one slam to catch several tailor on one in a dvd. riveting as always... and bcf is selling them ten bucks a pack or 4 for $20 cos they can't sell them.

anything chrome, raiders, knights, halco slices & twisty. slugs, 20- 80gms. my go to is; halco twisty 30gms, if close, if further out try 60gm

I agree on the anything chrome comment mate, I use 85 Gram raiders with two decoy jigging singles swinging from the rings for the bigger fish

Just my 2 cents, the slams are $4.95 a pack on motackle rite now i think bcf did the 4 for 20 because of this?? the slam 4" minnows work pretty good on tailor and theyre kinda tough so they can last more than 1 fish. They have a stiff stick bait action (no tail wiggle) so tailor and flathead are the only fish ive caught on them (the dumb fish). Otherwise tailor like pretty much any lure really but id try spoons and poppers. personally i hate em cos i dont eat em and theyve pinched so many poppers and bream lures off me they cud start a tackle store.
