Bass from the Grass

Recommended Posts

Found a nice little underwater hill to sit on and have a fish on friday, managed to pick up over 30 bass and a nice yella. Started off getting a few on lures with the ridgeback starring this session, then got a few more on the shrimp, these mainly comming from 14 to 20ft of water and they were hiding in the underwater grass.

Fish while you can

just a question, what are bass like to eat? and yellows?

snapsnap I agree with Dino they are great if prepped right.

I personally think this also has to do massively with which dam they are from.

I cant say I have eaten from many as I dont usually eat fresh water fish, but from the 3 dams I have eaten from (Somerset, NP and Hinze) I would have to say that Hinze is a stand out for me. I think its due to the water clarity? Like nice clean water = nice clean flesh. But maybe its because the ones I have eaten from Hinze are crumbed and deep fried :P
