what rod and reel to buy for under 200

hey all looking to purchase a new spinning reel and rod for under 200

mainly for fishing rivers from jettys and shore looking to get tinny in not to distant future though ( 6 months ) so looking for a good all rounder

fish species target flat head bream whiting whatever out in logan brissie rivers etc

any help muchly appreciated

know of any shops could go south brissy good deals cheers

i have a soare bb 2500 and catana rod for sale. nice combo check out my thread. but if you are after something decent i would say something like sienna 2500 and catana 2-4kg or sahara 2-4kg shimano rods. set u back about 150 for rod and reel leaving u 50 for line. or berkely dropshot and siena 2500. which would set u 170ish without line

Second the dropshot sienna combo, got a couple of these and they're great. If you want something a bit stiffer you could go pfleuger trion for the rod.

I have Dropshots and Saharas with Siennas with 1-3kg paired to 1000 reel and 2-4 paired with a 2500 reel. Good allround value for money I reckon as comfortable, light, easy to fish, but not hugely expensive.

went to tackle warehouse today ended up getting the sienna 2500 reel with dropshot 7 foot 3 to 6 kilo rod and fireline 8 lb braid sound alright to you guys

I have the 2-4kg dropshot 7'2" and it's stopped everything so far, they have a lot of grunt down the bottom end but a nice tip, good for plastics, paired up with a Team Daiwa SOL 2000, light enough to fish for Bream, heavy enough to stop Snapper and big Flathead. I have nothing but praise for the dropshot series.
