queensland cobbler trevally and others!!

got out for a fish today with my mate michael and his son brandon for a hard body session.

didnt take long and we got into the trevs, i hooked what i thought was a very good trev to start with but turned out to be a bloody cobbler (freaking catty)

brandon got his first hard body fish a trev and a flatty, he all so cast up trev as well.

dropped some huge tailor boatside, which were destined for the table if thjey co operated, michael landed a good tailor to finish the day about 45cm.

chonna not sure what causes the sore, parasite or other, all i know is 3 of 7 had it.

had to work sat, and not enough funds to make it down there

its the one place the ski lice help split the bait fish up and cause the trevs to go nuts haha not many today though only 3 all day.

Mate Trevs on light gear are my favourite, they pull like a Zertec!!

The scars on that trev are more than likley a form of a sea lice/parasite, I pulled a decent sized squire up off Peel and on the rear near its tail was this freakish looking sea lice/alien looking thing about the size of a 50 cent piece!! I grabbed my knife and got under it, it was attached like a tick. After I stabbed it, it released itself.

Horrible freakin thing and I reackon the Trevs scrape em off on the rocks leaving an infected sore.

Shame poor little buggers!
