Relaxing Arvo at Mud

Over the past few months I have caught heaps of fish but they haven't been of any significant size. I wasn't feeling confidant heading out to Mud with the missus and the dogs for an arvo fish. Mud hasn't been kind to me at all and after 2 hours of rat squire (again!!) I thought I would target the humble flattie......

Anchored up near one of the small points and started to flick a wriggler around, things were quite then all of a sudden my 6 pounder went off like a zetec!! I called it for a big bream at first but then realised it had a lot more weight to it.....

up she came....a beautiful 63cm flathead....quick pic and away she swam....

weather was fantastic, the dogs were happy, the missus caught a few bream so she wasn't winging all up a nice relaxing arvo.

Hey Rocket!

As you can see Milo brought his stash of labrador hooch! he was so mellow...he nearly started singing "Don't Worry...about a thing! (Bob Marley). He Loves to get hold of a stray pillie and he chases marshy's around the boat all day in summer...cant stand the bastards!

:laugh  :

All up a smashing arvo!

Angus

Yeah he still comes on the yak from time to time but I have to clear the rear deck of the hobie, I only take him for short yaks cause he gets a bit restless.

He bailed us out of the yak up near Somerset a few months back cause he thought he could take on a cow/bull! Thank goodness I had my rods on their leash and my gear was stowed away. I wasn't impressed though cause it cold water.......

I tend to only take him when we go on the boat....he is a lot more comfy to ...as you can see by that pic!

I might bring him down for the Bream Social! woohooo!
