queensland Double Island

Going up to double island for this weekend for four days, not taking the boat but was thinking about a bit of land based action. Where am i best to have a go, do I just fish the gutters, or go and have a crack at the head land. Any suggestions would be awesome as I am a double island virgin

Based on seabreeze I would reconsider and take the boat.

There is some awesome ground within 7-8km of DI. The lagoon makes for a great place to spend overnight on your boat or beach launch.

If you fish the rocks you will be lookng out into the deep blue thinking what if.

This time last year, I got some great Tailor off the rocks casting raiders. Thinking about heading up there myself is weather stays good.

Beach is always a bit hit and miss. Though you are going at the right time.

Gday, i was up there a couple of weeks ago and the rip in the surf was savage. Go for the rocks, and look out for the whales they were every where jumping , rolling it was great to watch. :woohoo:

I was at Inskip over the weekend and got 1 small tailor, puffer fish and ghost crab. Was pretty windy and was a big under current.
