Greens policy for marine notake zones

I thought I would just post this for those that are interested.

under measures:

20. ensure that the National Representative System of Marine Protected Areas program has legislated targets of a minimum of 30% ‘no take’ areas per bioregion by 2012.

This should be a given if we get the incumbent government back in and with the preference deal with the greens or if the Greens have balance of power in the senate.

Something to think about.

The gReens are certainly a real danger for fishermen IMHO. If the MP's don't take your spot they will result in your spot being more heavily fished/crowded....and all for very dubious result
