Old Buranda depot situated opposite PA Hospital

Victoria Bridge from William Street.

Outside South Brisbane Station. The train line used to end there and you had to either walk or get the tram into town.

I think this shot must have been taken from the old Prudential Building.

Few memories for the older members.

cool pics Ray. Have always been interested in the history of Brisbane. Trying to source some pics from the State Library for pics of the 1974 floods. Have heard there are pics of Victoria bridge submerged..

geeez i remember these things runnin down browning street in west end, and the 1974 floods, :laugh: i was swimmin in the top oval of musgrage park, broke my surfboard runnin down the hill n jumpin onto it, dohh !!! ahhh those were the days, it was never the same after that!

There are alot more photos floating around at the moment as they are doing the rounds in emails.

There are lots of good images in the John Oxley Library of the State Library for those with some time or if you can't get in there, the Library has started digitising some of these images and they are available online on their website.
