Idiot Proof Cast Net

Hi all, went too annual pilgrimage to the Ekka today to watch cousin showing cattle & found a bloke near the fine arts pavilion selling cast nets.

My son & I have previously got a cast net but our attempts to use it have been less than impressive despite practice & you tube instructional videos. The one at the Ekka has an aluminium ring at the top & we were assured it was easy to use. So I picked up a 10' net for $90.

Happy to say that when I got home I went into the back yard to see if I got fleeced & proceeded to throw some perfect casts. Would recommend it to anybody else struggling to throw a net. They come in 8, 9, 10 & 12' models

you can buy those rings from the u.s. in ally or plastic and fit them to any net

just me but would it be pretty hard to cast a net greater than 6 foot?

so i have heard a few people say the bigger the net the easier to throw .
