I didnt arrive at the dam till 10am as I did a quick trip to the coast to pick up some goodies. ( Thanks Marty)

After deploying my redclaw pots I finally put the kettle on and dropped a shrimp onto a likely show on the sounder that was showing fish between 6 and 40 feet.

Bang

Stopped mucking around taking photos as fish all around the same size and turned the kettle off as I was too busy to make a cuppa and caught 27 bass in the first 3/4 hour.

Stopped fishing to finally have a cuppa and a sanger and then back into them again.

The fish were attacking the swhrimp as swoon asw they reached the 6 to 8 feet mark.

Had a go at a video pretty bad need to attach camera to hat.

:woohoo

Wanted to save some shrimp for tomorrow so played around with some icejigs, different vibes and trolled some assorted lures through the school but no action.

Got 43 nice big redclaw on the way home.

As I said not a bad day. Just dissappointed that I didnt get a chance to try out my new rod and reel from marty as I was too busy to rig it up but its all ready for tomorrow.

Cheers

Ray

love the video Ray. That is a great session mate. Do you reckon they would take the humble servo prawn in absence of the shrimp?

I know that you are only supposed to use bait caught in the dam butthe bank fishermen seem to prefer salt water yabbies. I have never tried them but the yabbies do work at somerset and bejelke peterson.
