Daiwa EGI Braid

I just brought a 90 mtr spool of Daiwas' EGI braid from RayAnnes, and was wondering if anyone has any input on it's casting abilities, abrassion resistance etc. PE 0.6 I think

I would have it on the Caldia, but I only have the one spool at the moment and not too many stores are stocking the RCS parts, apparently there was a fishing comp run not long ago and a bunch of blokes pretty much brought them all out?

I imagine that because it is a braid designed for squidding, it will be a slow sinking briad, it also has a high silicone content, whatever that means :side: I plan to use it for plastics/blades and small hardbodies

It is also 'colour coded' every metre

I originally brought it to 'test', so to speak, this whole online buying trend and I'm happy as a clam by the way. Big thanks to RayAnnes

Any input? Let me know. I'll write up a review when I can find a spare spool B)

Quick update on the Egi Braid.

Spooled up my Caldia with 90 Mtrs, and it takes up slightly more room than my 4 Pnd Sunline, which ran out to 150 yards I believe.

So, it's thick.

I also didn't realise that it was 10 Pnd braid when I brought it, so this is down to my error.

Will give it a go over the weekend and see how it goes with some blades and plastics.

Also, knots have to be bedded really well, I think the high silicone content of this particular braid allows them to slip somewhat
