Ideas for Straddie

Hello all.

so we heading up to straddie tomorrow and wondering if anyone can help with good spots to fish.

we usually do around amity point with normal prawns and stuff, but we wondering if anyone had ideas or tips or where to go and what to use.

Hi Zimbos

try fishing behind the tennis courts,a sand bank hold many xo size flathead this time of year.As i only fish with bait i would try mullet,hardyheads

You can try the end of birch st for bream,squire again flesh baits.very little lead,sinker on the hook (buy many you will lose lots)

The rock grouynes near the caravan park will see you catch some large whiting early or late in the day blood worms or yabbies are the bait to use

Take squid jigs any colour big fat squid love amity point jetty at night

Going to straddie in two weeks myself

If you going to straddie....dont go to any other bait shop except for Carl on Bigoon Rd at Point Lookout. The best bait shop you will go to. friendly fellow and knows all the tips and hints.

mention to him you been recommended off AFO and hell be quite happy too.
