Unexpected Catch

Went out to get some livies for tomorrow from the local creek. It was a slow day collecting poddys as the tide was low and not many to see getting about. Anyway On the second cast I picked up this little fella. Is it a bullrout? DSC_0009_S.jpg

I also picked up a couple of good sized Tilapia which where quickly killed and disposed of. DSC_0011_S.jpgDSC_0012_S.jpg

yes to your first question, do not touch and if touched, pour the hottest water you can bear over the area, that will ease the pain considerably, as with most stings by water creatures, very warm to hot water seems to disperse the poison inflicted, or the heat takes your mind off the pain, 1 or the other lmao

The kids are my friends kids. A lot more fun going cast netting with kids.

Yeah the young fella did pacify the big Tili. Got to teach them young.

Rob thanks for the ID. I gave it a lot of respect as I thought it might be one. Did not give me a lot of confidence though going barefoot in the creek casting.

Yeah Dennis I caught them in the cast net. The big one was nearly 40cm. I caught 2 more but they released themselves on the way in.
