Up the dam again with TY and Alicia.

What a great couple of deckies hop in the boat and get under way and be served with a delicious breakfast of hot coffee and seafood noodles.

We did the pots on the way down for a less than average lot of redclaw and proceded to drop down a shrimp. I got a tandanus then Alicia got a nice fat bass nad I got another 6 bass whilst Ty caught what Paddy shot at.

Ran out of shrimp around 10.30 and got a really good catch of redclaw on the way back.

Ty took a couple of vidios on my camera but it told him that the memory was full.

Found out that I had forgotten to reinsert the SD card after last time so now I have to find the lead to download directly from camera.

It was a really nice day bit cool and misty first off but warmed up nicely when the sun came out.

Alicia you are spoiling me with the good tucker.

Cheers

Ray

Now I know what It takes to score the highly prizes deckie spots these days... :P

Ill post some pictures of my first attempt ever at smoked pork Gyoza/Pot Sticker style dumplings later :)

I know these are not seafood, but if they work ill try it with a prawn/calamari combo next!

Hi everyone,

Well it was another beautiful day at NPD with Ray today. Weather started off with a fresh bite but soon after when the sun came out it was nice and warm, just like sitting infront of a heater on a freezing cold nite.

Ray, Thank you once again for your lovely company. Its always fun and exciting being your decky. Alicia absolutely adores you!! ... and yes once again, got home, she was straight on the phone to her parents and sister overseas boasting on about her catch, and you :P

Fishing was a bit slow today, but Ray still did well landing a nice few fat bass and a tandanus. Wifey picked up a nice bass not long after Ray, and for me, well... lets just say i jinxed myself by saying to Ray this morning "Its hard to come to NPD and NOT catch any bass". Ray chuckled and responded "there's been some days.."

"There's been some days" it was to be!! ... yep, i lived the dreaded donut :S

Nevertheless, it is always amazing to start the day with some beaut scenery, wonderful company, and a nice warm cup of milk coffee.

The outlook at about 6.20am

Could the fish be hiding behind this tree today?

And this rod bend was proudly sponsored by a massive fat bass. Didnt measure it but im confident it was near the 45 mark. Unfortunately i was helping out wifey with re-rigging when Ray pulled up the fish. No pic.
