Both Sides of the Boat.

Seeing that the forecast for the next few days was pretty grim I headed back to NPD again today.

Beaut morning glassed out most of the time with just one sprinkle of rain.

The fish were sitting a bit deeper today.

Started off using two rods and after two susessive double hookups.

I went back to using only one rod as I didnt have many shrimp and wanted to make them last.

Most of the fish were low 40's to high 40,s and all in good condition.

Part of the school ended up around the 15 to 20 feet mark. I dont know if I brought them up with the shrimp or they just came up themselves. Some of them still stayed deep. If it didnt catch a fish shallow I just dropped the bait down and the deeper ones were just as hungry.

Knocked off at 10am with a total of 14 bass and one tandanus.

Cheers

Wow Ray, they're some fat bass. Great effort once again. Quick question - Do you always have your fish id on? I've heard you see a lot less with it thats all.

Jono

Jono,

I usually have it on fish id most of time especially when anchored up because if you look at raw data when you are anchored the fish show as straight lines not arches.

Some people are emphatic that you should turn your sounder off once you have located the fish because it puts the fish down.

I have never noticed this with my style of fishing.

I reckon its a buzz to call fish at 10 feet then promptly get a hook up.

Cheers

Ahhh I see. Thanks for the tip mate. I'm only just getting to know the ins and outs of my sounder. Will keep it in mind.

Cheers - Jono
