I have recently moved to Gladstone, after finally getting my head around fishing spots in Brisvegas I have had to move for work reasons. Back to the start again. I was wondering if anyone knew any good starting points preferably boat spots to start fishing. Been out few times without much luck. Thanks..

Hook up with Johnny Mithell and fish lake Awoonga - get a guided tour and then fish awoonga by yourslef. Also, fish the northern end of Curtis, just have to get your tides right and navigate around a bit.

Are you working on LNG plant?

yeah i will fish the dam later in the season looking for saltwater estuary spots for time being... Whats the name of the Charter??

Last time I was up there we fished the Boyne river and got onto some decent cod.

yeah i have had alot of success in the Boyne my old man lives there. Have caught all sorts in there including a 95 cm GT on a dirty old prawn off the bank. Just doný know any boating spots especially in Gladstone with most of the esturaies two mins from my house I would prefer to fish the instead of Boyne/Tannum
