where to park to fish Shultz canal

Hi, please can someone tell me where to park to fish the back of the golf corse, Shultz Canal i have a 4x4

Not certain if its strictly legal but I come off the gateway southbound just after the new bridge and there is an access gate with a small area where you can park. Or else follow Nudgee Road and park just passed the Golf course where the cycle track meets it and walk back along it. Either way it is a bit of a walk but I think it is the closest you can get.

Hi, is that th place with the hut thing and over the other side of the motorway the is all the big buildings

I used to drive past the golf course and park just on the dirt near the bike track entrance about 100 meters past the golf course gate, then I used to walk down the bike track about 100 meters and start fishing as soon as I got over the little waterway.

Hooked some nice flatties there on soft plastics

yes you can do that but you get cut off by a waterway, as you do if you come from the other side, depends on what stretch of canal you want to fish.

But you can access the bridge or what used to be the old barge from that point.
